The History of the Green Bay Stadium Boards
After the wood was replaced with aluminum at Lambeau, a barn being renovated as a unique fashion store in the 1970’s called Arthur Norgaard’s of Birch Creek, used the stadium boards as flooring, proudly displaying the seat numbers on the ceiling in the lower level of the main building. In 1986 the complex was sold and renovations were done for a Bed & Breakfast named Birch Creek Inn.
A fire in 1999, caused by lightning destroyed the main buildings. Many of the stadium boards protected by plywood and thick shag carpeting, were saved, carefully removed, and stored. The stadium boards were made available for sale to the general public in December of 2007.
